Allstar Performance renews IMCA state champion awards program
WATERVLIET, Mich. (Jan. 30) – Allstar Performance returns as title sponsor for one of IMCA’s most popular programs, recognizing state champions in each of the eight sanctioned divisions.
Top drivers in IMCA Modified, IMCA Late Model and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car state standings all receive $100 gift cards, which can be applied toward purchases from any Allstar distributor.
IMCA Sprint Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod, Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern SportMod and Mach-1 Sport Compact state champions each get $50 gift cards.
Points earned at drivers’ first 55 starts in sanctioned weekly or designated special events during the regular season determine state champions; 472 different drivers have won state crowns since the program was introduced in 2000.
Seventy-nine state champions ruled last year, nine more than the previous record set in 2010.
Allstar, located in Watervliet, Mich., manufactures specialty parts and equipment for the high performance industry. Information about those products, and dealer locations, is available at the www.allstarperformance.com website.
“We continue to expand this program as we add sanctioned divisions in new states every season and 2012 will be no different,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “With SportMods in California and North Dakota, we already know the number of state champions will eclipse 80 this year and as IMCA continues to expand, Allstar Performance is right there supporting that growth.”
Allstar will also give $50 gift cards at each of the July 8-13 Dakota Track Side Classic Tour for Modifieds and Dakota Track Side Classic Series for Stock Cars dates.
Those awards will be issued by Allstar the following week. State championship gift cards will be mailed after point standings become official in October.
