Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park Continues to Strengthen Relationship With Local Business as Bear World Signs on as Sponsor for 2012
February 7, 2012 (Craig Revelle – Finish Line Web Design) — The hard work that has been put in over the off-season continues to pay dividends for local racers as Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park has signed yet another new local sponsor to support the weekly racers at the speedway.
Bear World has signed on to sponsor a weekly half way leader bonus for the Thunder Car and Pro Late Model divisions for the 2012 racing season. The halfway leader during the feature for both classes will win a $25 bonus every week on regular race nights courtesy of Bear World. In order to qualify for the bonus, all teams must have a Bear World decal on their racecar. The decal will be supplied by the Speedway and will be available throughout the season. It will be up to the driver or race team to ensure the decal is on the car. If the halfway leader does not have the decal on the car, the bonus will increase by $25 for the next week until there is a halfway leader that has the decal in place. Once there is a winner the bonus will be reset back to $25 the following week.
“We are very excited to have Bear World on board with us for 2012”, says track General Manager Chip Burdick. “With the help of these great local sponsors, we are able to offer our drivers a little extra incentive. We chose the SUNY Canton, Dig Safely NY, Junction Boyz Inc. Pro Late Model Division and the SUNY Canton, Dig Safely NY Thunder Car class because most of the drivers are local, and many of them already shop at the Bear World Store. We know that racing is an expensive pastime, and we are trying to do what we can to help off-set the costs involved”.
