February 17, 2012 (Craig Revelle – Finish Line Web Design) — After just one weekend of classes in the Race 101 program in North Carolina, Tabatha Murphy has already seen her entire perspective of the upcoming season change before her eyes. Before last weekend’s trip to Charlotte, Murphy wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but after the first weekend, she is very excited about the Race 101 program and working with the instructors.

During the first weekend of the course, Murphy and her new classmates introduced themselves to each other and to the instructors at Race 101. While she had comfort of having four other local female racers in the group, she also met and shared racing stories with the other classmates from all over the United States, and Canada and went over the curriculum of the Race 101 program.

“We accomplished a lot in just the three days that we were there”, says Murphy. “The instructors, Adam, Anna Marie and Tony are very inspirational, smart and really care about each one of us students and they really have me feeling confident going into the season”.

While Murphy spent each day in the classroom, Saturday evening was spent in a Gala Ceremony honoring the students from the previous year, and provided a formal introduction of the new class to everyone in attendance.

“It was a very exciting event, and it was great to see Luke Whitteker win the premiere driver award”, ads Murphy. “Luke and his family had a lot of great things to say about this program when we first enrolled, and I have to congratulate him”.

The Race 101 program will continue with weekly online seminars and Murphy will travel back down to North Carolina next month and get back in the classroom.

“I look forward to going back down there again next month. All of the students are a like in so many ways, and we all are eager to learn, and Race 101 is the program that will lead the way”.

Tabatha Murphy would like to thank King Edward Auto Parts, Brockville Tractor Trailer Maintenance, Allan Bell and Associates, Reabel’s Plumbing, Splash Well Drilling and Finish Line Web Design for all of their support.
