SMS TOOLS KIDSRACE NIGHT AT MERRITTVILLE TO BENEFIT CANADIAN NATIONAL AUTISM FOUNDATION
Thorold, Ontario (June 14, 2012) For Race Fans … SMS Machine Tools Night – Saturday June 16th at Merrittville Speedway will benefit the Canadian National Autism Foundation. The KIDS RACE Event will find the J&S Heating and Air Conditioning Modified Lites in the spotlight in a TUSA Modified Lite Tour Event in addition to the rain-delayed second event in the 2012 David Chevrolet King of the Crates Series for the Original Pizza Logs DIRTcar Sportsman.
The on track action will be bolstered by an Autograph Nite that will find drivers and their cars on display on the front stretch from all 5 of the Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Divisions. Joining the Modified Lites and Sportsman are the Bobcat of Hamilton 358 Modifieds, Hoosier Stocks and the Turn 4 Collision 4 Cylinders.

“KIDS RACE” was started in 2010 as an idea to create a new platform for autism research and awareness. It wasn’t too long after speaking and working alongside track officials, drivers and fans, that a common bond was formed. We realized that passion, dedication, family and the love for what we do, was something we all shared. “KIDS RACE” will only take place once this year, but autism doesn’t stop.

The TUSA Modified Lite Hoosier Tire Mr. Dirt Racing Series Tour is part of a 5 Race Canadian West Regional Series that includes visits to Humberstone Speedway, South Buxton Raceway and the Brockville Speedway for the Canadian Nationals October 13th.
The 25 lap Event will pay the winner $300.00 of an overall $1,850.00 purse. The overall champion of the West Regional Series will be awarded $500.00 of a point fund totaling more than $2,500.00 and could increase as more Entries are received during the season.
The Brockville Canadian Nationals Event is a Show Up Point Event with the highest finishing West or East Regional Driver crowned Canadian National Champion. East Regional Events are scheduled for Mohawk Raceway and Brockville Speedway.
Regional and National Contingency Sponsors include Hoosier Tire, Bicknell Racing Products, Kirkey Racing Fabrication, Bilstein, Five Star Racing Products and Landrum Performance Springs.
Also in the spotlight although delayed one week due to last week’s rain out of Baron Roofing and Siding’s Event are the Original Pizza Logs Sportsman in the second round of the David Chevrolet King of the Crates Series with a 40 lap main event on tap.
